Jackpot! Cityview readers smash new Best Of Des Moines record, casting more than 10,000 votes this year.

Last night the “Best of Des Moines” winners were announced by Cityview. Smokey Row is proud to announce we were named the winner of “Best Local Coffeehouse” and runner-up of the “Best Coffee” award. Even though they say we have a location in Pleasant Hill, we don’t mind. We all know it’s PleasantVILLE.

“A five-year trend has been broken this year, as Smokey Row takes the No. 1 spot away from Mars Café. It could be because of the many locations from Des Moines to Pleasant Hill to Pella to Oskaloosa; it could be because of the cool events it hosts such as a the Sno-Ball Festival or the political round-tables this election year; or it could be the hip people who consider it a social hub. But we think it’s all in the beans. Multiple locations.

We are now serving up St. Patrick’s Day specialty drinks and tasty treats at all four locations. We can’t promise any leprechaun sitings, but keep your eyes peeled for one. They are faster than fast, and like to stop in from time to time to share in all of our fun.
