Description
This coffee is grown around Barillas, Huehuetenango, 200 miles north of Guatemala City. Most villagers are of Mayan background and speak a dialect called Quanjob’al. The area is surrounded by the Cuchumatanes Mountains. The farms utilize shade and organic compost, which is a back-breaking way to produce coffee. The Guatemala Huehuetenango coffee has body and in addition to full acidity, fruitiness and a rich well-rounded flavor.
